So a few big things..... As evidenced by my most recent deviation, I now have a space at the Zapow! Gallery http://www.zapow.com in downtown Asheville. In edition to that, I have made some big changes to my website http://chrisortega.carbonmade.com . I upgraded to the paid version, uploaded a lot of new stuff (including higher quality versions of a lot of what's on this page, and my new "Iconology" series) and I reorganized it (mostly) by series. It's been a while since I wrote anything here, so how about a little update... Toward the end of 2012 I was involved in a disastrous three-person show at a horribly unprofessional gallery. When faced with what was basically a colossal waste of time, I took a step backward and started working on new stuff. I've been working mostly in series, with the tree rings pieces I uploaded a while back being the most recently completed series. I have a lot of ideas floating around, so more to come soon.
