Legado

Tempera, copper leaf, and newspaper on wood. 5.5" x 8.5"

The second in my little mini-series of tree ring pictures. I wanted to post this last night, but the leafing cracked underneath the tempera and I had to do a little repair work. The title ("legacy" in Spanish) is a continuation of the title of the last piece ("history" in French) and doesn't hold a whole lot of meaning, beyond the fact that the rings of a tree show its history/legacy. If I knew any Japanese that might be a more appropriate language to translate into, seeing as how the newspaper is Japanese. But oh well.....
